01/17/68 dispatch: "...(CIA) photographs visitors to the LIRING compound has been mentioned in connection with the IDENTITY case and has more recently appeared in several books. LIRING personnel themselves continually refer to (CIA) photographic coverage of their installation." Also see page 4: "Separate cover attachment to HMMA-33841 - Identity Sheet: Identity: Harvey Oswald".
4/25/68 dispatch from Chief of Station, Mexico City to Chief, Western Hemisphere Division: "...(Setting up) two audio installations thus provide LIONION-1 with a greater capability to identify visitors to LIRING (through live monitoring) and thus affix names to photographs he takes. Previously, the identification of visitors to LIRING required considerable time and effort but in the short period of LIONION's audio capability this effort has decreased measurably."
10/13/70 dispatch from Elsie Scaletti (Charlotte Bustos) to Chief, Western Hemisphere Division: "LIRING seems to have accepted the fact that there is probably visual surveillance of their compound."
07/10/72: CIA report from Elsie I. Scaletti: Page 7: "Getting Phil to come to our end of the hall a couple of times. I was not in on the discussions between C/Cuba (Raymond F. Fradyer) and Phil, but I believe they were mainly held to see who Phil had met who might be useful against the Cuban target. I know we thought at the time Phil was spending almost full time on his overt activities and the SB target, and he gave the Cuban target little attention..."
5/19/78 deposition: Charlotte Bustos states that Elsie Scaletti is a registered pseudonym.
