Des FitzGerald stated in a memo on July 4, 1964, that "AMCLATTER-1 has been polygraphed successfully. Other investigations made by JMWAVE resulted in no derogatory information being discovered." This was contradicted by Chris Hopkins in a memo on Bernard Barker in June of 1973, which was based on a conversation with former Miami CIA officer, David Morales. According to Hopkins "Dave said we can be sure A-1 tells the authorities everything he knows. He tells all to everyone. Because he was such a loudmouth Dave recommended in 1962 that he be terminated. According to Dave the AMOTs have a lot of info on A-1."
