On 19 July SA Howard Albaugh of local FBI informed Karnley his office had received a call from one Louise Valentiner who reported she had just overheard meeting of 'anti-Castro group' held in room next to hers in University Court Motel. Meeting of course was Parlett session with MRR reps. 2. No purpose served reciting here all details Valentiner reported. It obvious from extent her knowledge she listened attentively to entire session. Believe most significant information obtained was identity Bender, who represents, mission, relationship MRR, details concerning Air Krire (?) types, plans for meeting Commodore Hotel NYC, and Twicker true identity. 3. At Karnley request FBI recontacted Valentiner for the purpose of obtaining additional info about her, and her planned movements and on some plausible pretext to admonish her not to repeat to anyone her report to FBI. 4. Valentiner, who is wife of Carl Valentiner, exec for Continental Can Corp in Havana and who has left Cuba with intention settling indefinitely in Miami area, told SA George Davis (who made follow-up contact) that a friend, Mrs. William Robinson (no further info) had also been present in her room during part of meeting. Valentiner said when she realized nature of business being discussed she telephone Mr. Lawrence J. Brewer (President, Esso Standard Oil SA, as you know now located Coral Gables) to whom she related essence of what going and asked his advice. He suggested she call FBI. Call to FBI made from home of and in presence of Mrs. Carl Morrison, wife of Exec VP of Esso Standard SA. This means at least three additional people Robinson-Brewer-Morrison to some extent now knowledgeable...6. Davis judged Valentiner be highly responsible type person who might reasonably be expected cooperate as requested."
