Larry Hancock, in his book "Someone Would Have Talked: Documented! The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Conspiracy to Mislead History" (2010), stated on page 114 that ..."Sloman is now known to have been a very deep cover, very long-term covert Agency asset by the name of Tony Sforza - also a long time personal friend of David Morales..."
John M. Newman also mentioned Sloman/Sforza in detail in his books, "Where Angels Tread Lightly: The Assassination of President Kennedy Volume 1" (2015 and 2017) and "Countdown to Darkness: The Assassination of President Kennedy Volume II (2017)."
This dispatch in June, 1963, stated that Neil T. Pickworth (probably Joseph Vidal) was Chief of CI at that time: https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=12393&search=104-10236-10190#relPageId=2&tab=page
Therefore, Jimerson's tenure as C/CI at JMWAVE was fairly short.

On 4 April 1963, the FBI advised that they had received a visit from Jim Wellington, a private detective who works for the De Facto International Detective System...Wellington advised that he had been hired by Jose Maria Castellvia...who is a partner with Ignacio Martinez and Daniel del Rio. Castellvia, Martinez and del Rio are the owners and operators of the Veritas Publishing Company...Castellvia hired Wellington to investigate a situation which indicated that he was not receiving his fair share of the profits from the business. He stated that his company was printing leaflets in the Spanish language for South American consumption for the Barrier Magazine...2. Wellington advised the Bureau that he felt probably CIA was concerned with this matter and for that reason he was informing the FBI. The FBI informed Wellington that they would try to pass the information along to appropriate persons and that Wellington may or may not hear from them further. 3. The FBI passed this information to us for whatever action we considered appropriate. While the FBI does not expect a reply from us, it may be wise to inform them if we have an interest in the above matter." Handwritten note: "Brennan advised this not of interest to us, but that Wellington should not be advised that there any government interest. J."
