Discussion:
This alias was mentioned by John Newman, in Countdown to Darkness, The Assassination of President Kennedy, Volume II (page 421). Desmond Fitzgerald also used the pseudonym of Chester D. Dainold, and the aliases, James Clark, and Mr. Archer. A memo for the record from Raul J. Hernandez on November 20, 1963, stated that AMBIDDY-1 was delighted "to hear that the 'Jefe' (Mr. FitzGerald) will attend the meeting in Panama on 6 Dec." "Jefe" is the Spanish word for "chief."

A-1 was asked to have all his plans for for his first 'business venture' (Operation) ready for the Jefe's perusal and any suggestions A-1 may have on how we can assist him..."
