1/11/61 memo by SA Thomas Errion: "Marcos Diaz Lanz/AMOT-6...advised as follows: He has known Rafael Huguet for many years, and considers him definitely opposed to Communism in all its forms. Huguet is an honest, intelligent individual, who had no official connection with the Cuban government of Premier Fidel Castro subsequent to Huguet's resignation from the Cuban Revolutionary Air Force (FAR) in mid-1959, as far is known. Huguet was never a member of the Cuban Air Force Intelligence Service, or any other Cuban intelligence service, and during the period of his association with the Cuban Air Force, which was from approximately January 1, 1959 or shortly after, until his resignation in mid-1959, he served as Paymaster of the Air Force...Huguet is credited by Marcos Diaz Lanz with saving Marcos' life at the time Marcos was attempting to escape from Cuba after leaving the FAR prior to mid-1959...Huguet served with and maintained a close friendship also with Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo, the head of the SNFE...Huguet came to the United States with (Gutierrez) in November of 1959, during the time the Diaz Lanz brothers met with Huguet and Gutierrez Menoyo in Atlanta, Georgia, to discuss the possible opposition to Fidel Castro, but as far as known to Marcos, Huguet was not a representative of Gutierrez Menoyo, but was his companion..."

3/31/63: Milton Hubbard aka Pat Harris: "Menoyo (DUP 749) told not to come to Miami." He was working with Veciana "V" and others at that time with Army Intelligence. Also see 194-10003-10411, p. 3. Also see 157-10014-10084 - p. 10, Hubbard describes "Ralph" Huguet as Menoyo's second in command, allegedly a graduate of Georgia Tech architectural school. "I let them know I was military as opposed to CIA because CIA had had the flap on the Bay of Pigs. Menoyo had had many of the people the CIA had trained in the parachute school out on the Bay of Pigs thing, and they were very bitter, quite bitter...(we helped them) send agents into Cuba to develop a net within Cuba...President Kennedy decided that not only would we not support them, but he wanted them stopped..."

Concept in this op was Huguet would infil Cuba with SFNE leader Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo but would report by w/t to ACSI..."
