A dispatch in September of 1961 mentioned that AMCORE-2 "was contacted by Michael C. Choaden (using alias 'Donald Barton') and John P. Hassellstrom (using alias 'Fred Martins'), for spot radio work and as a singleton touring speaker." This was following AMCORE-2 being issued with an Operational Approval (OA) for use in JMATE Psych operations in September, 1960.

The other signatories are mostly from WH/4, including C/WH/4/PROP (Number 5), C/WH/CA (Number 10). Number 12 was signed by WH/1/Chile. In the "To All Addressees" column, Joseph Piccolo name is at the top, with the unit: WH/4C. Comment "10-12: Would this be useful to Sago?" Possibly a reference to Santiago, Chile.

09/06/61: Dispatch from Chief, Western Hemisphere Division to Chief of Base, JMWAVE: "1. JMWAVE is requested to contact AMCORE-2 on 8 September 1961 and assume control over this asset. 2. To review past activities of this agent and present plans approved by HQs., AMCORE-2 was initially contacted in May 1960 by a representative of KUDESK staff, who conducted an intensive KUDESK interrogation of subject including an LCFLUTTER. This was conducted as a result of reports from (REDACTION)DALE that subject might be a provocation, reports which appear unfounded on the basis of the interrogation. AMCORE-2 was issued an Operational Approval for use in JMATE Psych operations in September, 1960, and was contacted by Michael C. Choaden (using alias 'Donald Barton') and John P. Hassellstrom (using alias 'Fred Martins'), for spot radio work and as a singleton touring speaker. AMCORE-2 has demonstrated in subsequent trips and radio programs that he is one of the most effective psych assets in JMATE..."
