Interview will center on Beigneu's role as one of AMMUG-1's case officers and will be conducted using IDEN registered alias." Another cable the same day stated that the identity was Fernando C. Aparicio.

A cable from Mexico City on August 1, 1978, stated that Matthew S. The CIA requested that the HSCA were told that they wanted the interview of Beigneu to be first one the committee undertake.

A cable from Director on August 2, 1978, stated that the HSCA were aware of the true name of Beigneu, and that he was a member of CIA's Mexico City station. In addition, a cable on August 7, 1978, stated that the HSCA would be prepared to talk with Matthew S. Beigneu and Raymond H. Gerende (Ramon Joseph Alvarez Durant) on August 8th.
