DOB: 1925 or 1926. First wife: Eva; present wife: Helga Fritsch. Participated in exchange of Rudolph Abel for Francis Gary Powers 2/10/62. Participated in release of Richard Case Nagell from East Berlin 10/23/68. Hired by the attorney for Blanka Shadrin in early 1976 to open negotiations with Moscow to locate Nicholas Shadrin. Negotiated swap of 25 westerners for 4 eastern bloc persons 6/11/85. Now, 1993, Vogel is under indictment as a collaborator.
