McWillie knew him. Involved in Sans Souci Gambling Casino, Havana. Attended Apalachin Meeting. With Albert Anastasia prior to Anastasia's murder in New York City. Succeeded his father as local Mafia boss in Tampa, FL. His father, born in Sicily, was boss from 1945 until his death in 1954. Santos died Tuesday, March 17, 1987, in Houston hospital following triple by-pass surgery. Survived by wife, Josephine, and two daughters.
