White supremacist. Leader of National States Rights Party. Active in anti-civil rights activities. Indicted in September 1977 on charge of setting off an explosive device dangerously near an occupied dwelling. The charge stemmed from the June 1958 bombing of the Bethel Baptist Church in Birmingham.
