Wife: Martha Dodd Stern. Alfred and Martha were Americans who lived in Prague and supported Communist causes. Stern was a "red spy" in 1966 and was training black revolutionaries in Czechoslovakia and occasionally went to Moscow. Stern was an uncle of Edgar B. Stern, 521 Royal, New Orleans, LA. Stern was father of Alfred Rosenwald Stern who, in 1963, was Vice President of NBC Television.
