In 1957, he killed Ukrainian emigre writer Lev Rebet in Munich. In 1959, he killed Stepan Bandera. Senator Thomas Dodd traveled to Germany in April 1964 to interview Stashynsky. "...a Soviet defector, convicted murderer and self-confessed ex-member of a KGB eimgre killer squad."
