POB: Elkton, Ky. DOB: 1910. Transferred to Dallas from Honolulu April 1963. Retired May 1975. In 1975, he made a statement before the Subcommittee on Civil and Constitutional Rights of the House Committee on the Judiciary about his career as an FBI agent and about the Kennedy assassination. (MMF 1816-1823). DOD: Mon July 11, 1988. Survived by widow, Emily S. Shanklin of Dallas; daughter, Elizabeth Cavanaugh, Riverdale, NY. Was Special Agent in Charge, Dallas, TX, 11/22/63.
