President of Iron and Junk Handlers Union. On Jan 5, 1940, he shot and killed Leon Cook. After the murder, Martin and his 35-yr-old secretary, Mrs. Gladys Walsh, 409 Walnut, Hindsdale, IL., disappeared. Martin was later freed of murder charge.
