Comments:

Geologist for Sun Oil Co., Dallas, and Russian teacher at SMU. Starting in 1960, he taught Russian courses at Socony Mobil Research Laboratory. His mother-in-law, Dorothy Gravitis, lived with him and his wife. He acted as translator for Marina Oswald in 1963. In 1977, on his 11th trip to Russia as director of an SMU study tour, he was accused by the Russians of spying for the CIA.
