Born June 7, 1915, in West Virginia. Graduated West Point in 1939. Was in Havana as Army Attache in American Embassy in 1959 when Castro took over. Stayed in Havana until 1961 when Embassy closed. Did he start "assisting" J. Walton Moore, head of CIA Dallas office? Died June 16, 1992, Dallas, TX. Survived by widow: Mary Margaret Davis Kail; sons: Samuel Goodhue Kail, Jr., Robert Gardner Kail; daughter: Anna Marilla Kail, all of Dallas; brother: Ira Joseph Kail, Petersburg, Va.; brother-in-law: Thomas Bradley Wolfe, Bethesda, MD. Burial: Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
