Born in New York City in 1926. Reared in Dallas. Became President of family-owned business, A. Harris. Attended Philips Academy in Andover, Mass. Graduated from Harvard University in 1947. Married Russian ballerina, then Elizabeth Forsling, then Jane Wolfe, the mother of his only child, a daughter Lee Harris III (born when Mr. Harris was 72). When President Kennedy was assassinated, he gave aid to Lee Harvey Oswald's widow, Marina Oswald. Died at his home in Highland Park Thursday, August 17, 2000, of pancreatic cancer, at age 74.
