Castro led an unsuccessful attack on the Moncada Barracks in Cuba on July 26, 1953. This resulted in the July 26th Movement which brought about the downfall of Batista's regime. A picture reportedly taken at a Castro rally before the assassination bears inscription "Here Lies Kennedy. The Cuban Revolution Killed Him." $1-Million Reward out for assassination of Castro according to Alberto de Jesus Santalo-Fuertes in Dec. 1963. Santalo reported to S/SGT. Dennis Bartles in Fort Carson, Colo. Castro made speech Nov. 28, 1963, complaining of Silvia Duran's arrest and UPI's reporting.
