Born Aug. 1, 1918, in Washington, D.C. Photographer at The Washington Post before joining Associaed Press. Retired from AP in 1975 after 31 years. Died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, from pneumonia at age 81. Was in motorcade when John F. Kennedy assassinated. Survived by wife, Margaret Wohlgemuth; stepson, Lyford Moore, stepdaughter; two sisters: Jane Dollins and Rosemary Schulte.
