"Came to New Orleans from Minnesota in 1958 or '59. Flew crop dusters, instructed for Scott Flying Service. In 1960, he was injured in aircraft accident. He was then unemployed, without funds, was frequently at Lakefront Airport. Disappeared, reappeared well-off, said he was flying for Castro." "His 201 file shows him to be a soldier of fortune and free-lance pilot who was arrested by Cuban G-2 in Havana on May 24, 1960."
