Las Vegas gambler, operator of Horseshoe Club in Vegas. Sentenced to Leavenworth 12/2/53 for income tax evasion. Formerly of Dallas, TX. R. D. Matthews worked at Horseshoe Club for Binion. DOB: 1905; DOD: 12/25/89. Benny's son, Jack Binion, operates Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, LA, in 1998.
