Employed by Lee Vic Belt and Novelty Co., 9th Floor, 153 W. 27th St., Manhattan, NY, as a foreman. Jack Ruby was transferred from Bluethenthal Field, North Carolina, to Chatham Field, GA, in June 1944 with Zakarin. Zakarin was Ruby's closest friend at Chatham Field. He described Ruby as a "loyal American."
