Erroneously spelled Benevides in Vol. 19. Wife: Margie. Clarence M. Jones (later Sheriff of Dallas County) said he was standing in front of the Criminal Courts Bldg. talking with Allan Sweatt and Robert Benavides when the motorcade passed & he heard shots. (This is apparently the only mention of Benavides.)
