Orlando Bosch Avila, leader of Movimiento Insurreccional de Recuperacion Revolucionaria announced his B-25 aircraft effected raid Bahia Honda central, Habana Province, early morning hours 13 Feb. There no confirmation this raid. Bosch also claimed 17 Jan raid Niagara sugar central Pinar del Rio Province same type aircraft, which confirmed by GOC two days later. At present Bosch reported be planning another raid which to take place any moment. Major problem facing WAVE area law enforcement agencies is determining MO for departure, loading and staging this type raid, and WAVE tasked exploit every possibility try determine how aircraft launched. For MEXI, MRID ref indicated B-25 type aircraft registration N8012, pilot Jack Benson Griffin and D. N. Shaw who owner of aircraft as passenger, at Palisadoes Airport 11 Feb 1330Z. Aircraft departed Aruba 1545Z same date, however pilot contacted Palisadoes Tower informed then headed PACY. Aircraft had necessary ODACID (U.S. State Department) departure permit and plane thoroughly checked ODBOON (U.S. Customs Agency) prior departure WAVE area. 3. WAVE area ZRAVOID indicated Griffin prior departure and filed two flight plans, one for KNGS another for MEXI. According FAA Griffin departed 0005 local 11 Feb flew KNGS via Bimini and Inagua this last confirmed by KNGS. In past Griffin known deeply involved Cuban exile air strike activity. 4. Request data re landing alone aircraft at PACY, Aruba, or some area Mexico though aware that in last instance many out-of-way fields which could be used clandestinely. Need dates/time landing and subsequent takeoffs, amount fuel and nature cargo loaded, names crew or pax, next declared field. Would be particularly appreciative indication unusual activities aircraft or associated with aircraft, such as parking occulted or non-active area field, particularly long wait at end of runaway before takeoff, whether end runway fenced or readily accessible from neighboring land, and whether any cans consisted of containers similar to plastic chlorox or detergent bottles, or cargo included 'caustic chemicals.' 6. If addees have pertinent details PLS indicate which can be passed to WAVE area law enforcement agencies for their information and use."
