104-10226-10272: MESSAGE FROM AN ASSET REGARDING A SUPPLY DROP
3/13/61 memo from JMRIMM (possible NSA listening post in Miami) to JMBELL (communications center affiliated with JMWAVE), slugline JMZIP COMMO SULTAG: "Following received from SULTAG...(CINCO) sinner my men went last night. Will receive news. If made drop made want number of pack and chutes and total inventory. A lead to ground. Chance good for drop but no men. Union Revolucionaria only group with good organization. Am in contact with them. Try to make Chacho/AMCOAX-1/Jose Pujals Mederos join. Would be perfect setup. Hustling men will endanger all. Up to you." Handwritten note: The question being asked to "Jerry" is whether the UR should have representation within FRD. "Jerry" appears to be a reference to Jerry Droller, aka Gerry Droller, aka Frank Bender.
3/13/61 memo from JMWAVE to Director: "Source Robert Geddes, British subject with US wife, who was head of the Pepsi Cola bottling plant in Cuba and worked in Unidad Revolucionaria. Arrived from Cuba 11 March and gave info to Hubbell on 12 March..." The report states that UR feared that Castro was trying to provoke a premature uprising.
3/14/61 memo from WH/4/PM Cal Hicks to BELL Signal Center: "Pass following message in English to SULTAG: '___ ____. Andres. Can you or Al contact Unidad Revolucionaria org and provide details on their organization and capabilities. Give names of leaders. Be very careful your security most important.'"
9/18/61 memorandum for the record by WH/4/PM James Pekich: "(Evilio Duque, Orlando Bosch/AMDITTO-23, and Dr. Lage wanted to keep fighting in Cuba under the name of the Ejercito Cubano Anti-Communistic)...When I asked if they had any communicators, which is vital, they mentioned one Adolfo Mendoza, who was probably known to us, and is willing to go back with them (Mendoza was the old SULTAG W/T link)."
