9/20/77 Paul Meskil's NY Daily News article about Marita Lorenz's claim that she accompanied Oswald and an assassin squad to Dallas a few days before 11/22/63. She claimed that they were all members of Operation 40, and that she was an informant to the CIA and the FBI. Kennedy...Latin American Division believes that the basis for the MC's statement was, probably, an article which appeared in the New York Daily News on September 20, 1977...we know of no information in Agency files to substantiate (Lorenz's) statement. There have been various articles in the past alleging that Lorenz was a CIA agent. There is no official file on Ms. Lorenz, nor is there any information indicating that she was an agent or employee of this Agency."
