All nine hope immigrate to United States. 2. Bio date MRP members: A. Peno: Born 9 July 25 Santiago de Cuba. Stevedore. B. Juan Garcia Shombert: Born 24 August 26 EL Cobre, Oriente. Stevedore. 3. RUADLIB-1 reports that on 26 March recently arrived Cuban commercial attache Julian Novas Fernandez put out following line on assassination of President Kennedy: Assassin Oswald had been in employ of KUBARK (CIA) and Ruby had killed Oswald so he could not talk. Oswald's mother was now fighting to learn who is really guilty. 2. Foregoing conversation in presence only of RUADLIB-1 and Felix Munoz Cardenas of Cuban Consulate, but appears represent Cuban prop guidance. 03/30/65: Cable from Withheld: "1. RUABBE-3 reports one Manuel Antonio Ray Rivero, engineer, born 13 June 1924 in Habana, Cuba has applied for ten day visa to visit Jamaica. Application made through Jamaican Consulate NYC. Ray first arrived in U.S. 13 October 1961 and has U.S. reentry period A 7-056-497. 2. Is this person identical with Manolo Ray, Cuban exile leader? Please cable PDOB and basic identifying data of latter. 3. Any requirements?"

04/08/68: Cable from Director: Slugline MHALPHA: "1. According RUABBE-1 morning 6 April, four groups trying get demonstrations going against American Embassy Kingston but without success: A. Group of leftists including Winston Monroe are in contact with American Black Power man who arrived last week (not known if before or after assassination Doctor King). This group same as one mentioned ref, planned send small delegation to area American Embassy around noon 8 April to see if anything could be started. The American Black Power man with them is saying that with GOJ full out in public sympathy with Dr. King, will be difficult to get anything going. RUABBE-1 commented it uncertain if this group will take any action. B. Leroy Innis, President of the Guild of Undergraduates of University of West Indies (UWI) tried get UWI students go on demonstration but without success. (Comment: Students on vacation and not scheduled return to classes until Tuesday 9 April so are free for action if spark catches). C. Prince Buster, local leader of Black Muslim movement, is awaiting word from Muhammed Ali, Black Muslim leader in U.S.A. and IBS no active planner organizing under way. D. Mortimer Planer, Rastafarian who participated in demonstration against British High Commission over Rhodesian hangings, has contacted some students and members of his own following. These students reportedly said they would back Planer. However, no info available on timing or status Planer's efforts. 2. Above passes ambassador. 02/73: Cable: Slugline TYPIC RUABBE: "1. RUABBE passed FOLL info re SUBJ ref: Manuel Antonio Ray Rivero, born 13 June 1924, Havana Cuba. Occupation: Civil engineer. In 63 Ray reported leader Peoples Revolutionary Movement Miami. Early 64 Ray and eight other persons charged with illegal entry and possession firearms by British authorities Nassau. All accused, including two American freelance photographers, pleaded guilty and each fined five pounds sterling. Their intentions were to lead small scale invasion Cuba. Since 65 Ray regular visitor Jamaica. He departed for San Juan on 26 Jan 73 and claims 558 Ramon Ganda Hato Rey, San Juan as home address. He traveled on PPH A7-056-49716/6/72..."

07/77: Cable: Slugline WNINTEL REAM: "1. There are no (REDACTION) station traces on Manuel Ray Rivero aka Manolo Ray or on Amalia Angelina Zabala Mas. 2. Through elicitation RUABBE-13 (R-13) determined that RUABBE-7 holds a file on Ray but he was unable obtain file. R-13 was told that Ray had been in business in Montego Bay until December 1976 and that he frequently traveled in and out of the country ('shuttling' was term used). In December 1976 Ray was declared persona non grata on instructions from Prime Minister Manley, who based his decision on vague allegations that Ray had been involved in Cuban exile activities. 3. File: 201-239298, 201-802841."
