A dispatch in April of 1965 from Chief, KUDOVE (Clandestine services of CIA) mentioned that "cables and dispatches transmitting CI information pertinent to Secret Service needs will carry the MHMOOSE slug."

Positive intelligence information reports which respond to Secret Service interests will be furnished Secret Service by headquarters disseminators. Field stations may recommend dissemination to Secret Service by putting the slug MHMOOSE in the SUPDATA or on the reports' cover sheet. 5. Cables and dispatches transmitting CI information pertinent to Secret Service needs will carry the MHMOOSE slug. Headquarters dissemination of this information can be greatly facilitated if the information is prepared by the field in language suitable for direct passage to Secret Service..."
