Cryptonym: LIMASK-1

Definition:
Long-time agent in Mexico City. Answered to AMSUPER-1 in the Gyrose Debriefing Unit. Member of AMBUD.
Status:
Unknown
Discussion:
Gabriel Aurioles, who went on to be a Mexican delegate of the MDC by 1965, is at least a faint possibility. AMSTET-1 was Jose Antonio Garcia Lara, often known as Antonio Garcia or Nico Garcia, commercial attache in the Cuban embassy during 1962-63. AMSTOKE-1 was Pedro Lucas Roig Ortega, often known as Lucas Roig, assistant commercial attache at the Cuban embassy until his defection during June 1962. In addition, a cable in December of 1963 stated that AMCHITTER-1 was previously LIMASK-1.
