Cryptonym: ISOTROPIC
In Warren Hinckle and William Turner's Deadly Secrets (1992), there is a reference to Cuban frogmen being taught underwater demolition "at the CIA's secret Isolation Tropic base on the North Carolina coast." This would possibly be consistent with ISOTROPIC being located in North Carolina. The authors appear to have got the name slightly wrong, but understandable given the secrecy around it at that time. The authors also said that it was near Elizabeth City.
