Cryptonym: CLEOPATRA
A cable on CLEOPATRA on December 5, 1963, was possibly signed by William K. Harvey as the Coordinating Officer (Harvey's former deputy, Bruce B. Cheever, was Acting Chief, Special Affairs Staff, at this time, and was the Releasing Officer for this cable). Cheever originated, and was the Releasing and Authenticating Officer for another cable on this day, which mentioned the COBRA XI, CLEOPATRA and AMSAKI operations. C. W. Matt (probably Robert Moore) was the Coordinating Officer.
A cable on December 6, 1963, mentioned that AMSONIC-1 and AMSUGAR-3 were radio operators for the CLEOPATRA team (a Damage Report in 1968 on AMSTALK-1 - Miguel Angel Diaz Isalgue - named AMSUGAR-3 as one of the indigenous agent personnel exposed by alias to Diaz).
Moreover, a cable the same day mentioned that CLEOPATRA, AMHICK and AMTRUNK were short-term infiltration-exfiltration sabotage operations.
A cable on December 7, 1963, mentioned that the target for CLEOPATRA was a bridge in Las Villas Province.
A cable on December 15, 1963, stated that on 10 December a successful emergency exfiltration operation of the CLEOPATRA team took place, due to Cuban security force activity, and a fire fight with Cuban security on the mainland.
