A cable from JMWAVE on December 12, 1963, stated that "similar case is AMYUM (note: MRR - Revolutionary Recovery Movement) contact Jose Elias Thumas alias Nacin who utilizing several YOACRE (note: Guantanamo Naval Base) employees establish contact with AMYUMS living in Cuba. Details included AMYUM-29 report dated 14 Oct 63 forwarded Headquarters with Warren K. Guertler (note: probably Karl Rohrer) contact reports."

12/11/63: Cable from JMWAVE to Director: Slugline RYBAT TYPIC AMOT-163: "1. In addition AMTAUP-10 (Juan Bautista Perez Luis), only other individual who of WAVE interest YOACRE (Guantanamo Naval Base) is AMOT-163, who being utilized as KUTUBE (Foreign Intelligence - FI - division of CIA) source as reported Ref D. AMOT-163 in contact only with AMOT-28 (Andres Venegas) who used cover of Cuban exile group Unidad Revolucionario in all dealings with AMOT-163. AMOT-163 has been given no indication ODYOKE (U.S. Government) interest in his current reporting assignment. 2. AMOT-163 communicates with AMOT-28 at local accommodation address. Commo to and from AMOT-163 by means scorch S/W. Since AMOT-163 returned YOACRE in May 63 has submitted 146 raw reports which have been utilized in 15 UFO dissems. AMOT-163 has reported he in direct contact five individuals who report to him. Three of these persons reside on base, two others work in base but reside Cuba. 3. Review AMOT-163 production indicates his role largely listening post type reporter.
