Discussion:
A March of 1964 Report Cover Sheet from JMWAVE stated the source was AMYUM-14 "who obtained the information from his brother, Marcos Rodriguez Menendez, who attended the meeting of DRE-MDC representatives." The Field Information Report itself described AMYUM-14 as "a young Cuban exile with a United States high school and prep-school education. He is thoroughly trained in intelligence collection. His past reporting has been accurate but lacks depth. Source obtained the information from Marcos Rodriguez Menendez of the Christian Democratic Movement."

A Report Cover Sheet from JMWAVE in August, 1965, stated that "Field Comment #2 was based on information that AMYUM-14 submitted; he received it directly from AMCRUMP-7 (now terminated)." AMCRUMP-7 was Angel Hernandez Rojo, who was a member of the DRE and the MDC in the 1960's.

The Miami delegation of the MDC was listed in Feb. 1965: The group's members included MDC intelligence chief Marcos Rodriguez and five others - see https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=124001&search=%22miami_delegation%22+and+mdc#relPageId=3&tab=page

At the time of elections in Sept 65, its members included Marcos Rodriguez and Victor Paneque Batista - see https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=99270&search=mdc_AND+%22MIAMI+DELEGATION%22#relPageId=193&tab=page

"SOURCE: A young Cuban exile with a United States high school and prep-school education. He is thoroughly trained in intelligence collection. His past reporting has been accurate but lacks depth. Source obtained the information from Marcos Rodriguez Menendez of the Christian Democratic Movement. 1. During January 1964, Dr. Laureano Batista Falla of the Movimiento Democrata Cristiano (MDC, Christian Democratic Movement) made a trip to the north coast of Oriente Province. Three individuals were landed with the mission to make contact with groups hiding in the Sierra Cristal zone. The boat used for the infiltration was a SIGMA, a type of craft made in Cuba. The infiltrees carried with them among other things, explosives, two 20mm recoillees rifles, two P-44 German submachine guns, two Russian-made rifles, one Johnson semi-automatic rifle, and one British rifle with telescopic sight. Another trip to resupply the group is being planned by Batista for March. He already has collected 1,500 pounds of explosives. 2. The Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil (DRE, Students Revolutionary Directorate) was planning to land a group of six men during March in the 'Sierra Moa' zone in Oriente Province. The group was to be led by ex-captain Emilo Vera Leyva, who fought in the mountains against Fulgencio Batista."
