Early 1963: Antonio Garcia Perez and Enrique Cayado Rivera (AMTRUNK-2) would disembark near Garcia's family farm. From there they would drive into Havana and try to recruit. One of their contacts was Juanita Castro.

02/07/63: FBI memo from S. J. Papich to D. J. Brennan: Subject: Anti-Castro Activities: "On February 6, 1963, Harold Swenson, CIA, confidentially advised the Liaison Agent that the following individuals will be involved in an extremely sensitive operation involving a clandestine landing in Cuba; this will take place in the near future: Enrique Cayado Rivera, Antonio Garcia Perez, Doctor Nestor Antonio Gustavo Jose Luis Moreno Lopez, Miguel Diaz y Salgue, George Volsky. Swenson submitted name check requests concerning the individuals. Bureau files were checked and there was no evidence of any derogatory information. The name checks were returned to Swenson on February 6, 1963, with notations indicating that Bureau files did not contain derogatory information. ACTION: The above information is being directed to the attention of the Nationalities Intelligence Section."

2/16/63: Antonio Garcia Perez is identified as AMTRUNK-3 as seen in the marginalia in the middle of the right hand column of the first page of the cable. He has been confused in the past with AMTABBY-10.

3/31/63 memo: "AMTRUNK-3...in contrast to AMTRUNK-2, is volatile, immature and impulsive. On the other hand he is quite loyal to AMTRUNK-2 and his quick wit is appealing to his fellow team members. He worked under A-2 in the underground as an action type, principally engaging in sabotage. His underground work began when he was in secondary school when in 1958 he supported the revolution against Batista. In late 1960 he sided with the counter-revolutionaries and began full-time anti-Castro activities...his performance falls far short of the other three team members..."
