6/12/61 dispatch from Stanley Zamka/David Morales to HQ: "On 6 June 1961, AMOT-2 said that when the name of Dagaberto Ponce appeared as the principal signer of an announcement from the Labor Bureau of the MRP, he had some of his men do some investigating of PONCE, as there was some evidence that he was a Communist sympathizer. He enclosed the following report on PONCE, prepared by AMOT-14 on 6 June 1961: PONCE, an old member of the 26 of July Movement, always appeared to be one of the most radical anti-Communist leaders...he even used some vile language when he mentioned the names of Raul Castro and Minister Augusto Martinez Sanchez. However, he was the most servile attacker of the newspapers and he actively participated, wearing the uniform of a militiaman, in the specific cases of Avance, Diario de la Marina, and Prensa Libre newspapers..." 06/12/61, Dispatch from Chief of Base, JMWAVE to Chief, WHD: "1. AMOT-14 reported that Mario BARRERA told him that he is currently working for AMDIP-1 in newspaper propaganda and is in charge of radio propaganda for A-1. BARRERA told A-14 that A-1 pays him a salary of $150.00 a month for his services, but still owes him his May salary. 2. According to A-14, it is being rumored throughout Miami that AMDIP-1 has over $300,000.00 deposited in an unidentified bank in Miami. The source of these funds, if true, is not known."

08/09/65, Dispatch from COS, JMWAVE to Chief, WH: Page 2: "4. On 30 July 1965 AMOT-14 reported in DD-1532 that AMLINT-1 had been in a local restaurant where he overheard a conversation between Alfredo Borges Caignet (201-347593), now Immigration Secretary for AMWORLD, and Jose Luis Sosa Sancio (201-746587). Borges told Sosa: 'Be ready to go back to the place where you were before, because you will have to leave for there in the first four or five days of August. AMWORLD will function in the same manner as previously, but with more independence.' Borges also commented to Sosa that AMBIDDY-1 is the current owner of the Vizcaya Restaurant at 142 S.W. 37th Avenue.'"
