Discussion:
In an cable on AMWORLD in December 1963, AMOT-129 reported, along with AM0T-173, on Dr. Castro Mier. In addition, in a July 1964 cable it was reported that Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo had confidence in AMOT-129.

An August 1964 cable reported that AMOT-129 had recruited seven prospective radio operators for JMWAVE in 1962, and some of them were now connected with Gutierrez Menoyo. It was believed likely that one of these operatives had probably mentioned to Gutierrez that AMOT-129 was connected to the CIA. Given that AMOT-129 recruited seven prospective radio operators in 1962, it is possible that A-129 was a "former Cuban provincial employee and ham radio operator" (January, 1963, Field Information Report) rather than a former Cuban businessman.
