AMJAG was AMWAIL until a security breach occurred during December 1960. Justo Carrillo Hernandez is better known as AMJAG-1. He is also identified as AMWAIL-1.

Justo Carrillo Hernandez is identified by the CIA as AMJAG, but he is better known as AMJAG-1. AMJAG is the same as AMWAIL.

5/11/61: Stanley Zamka/David Morales writes about AMOT-2/Jose Sanjenis' report to him on this date about his interview with AMBUD-1/Miro Cardona: "I was received very affectionately and, after an 'abrazo', he assured me that I was his friend...after the events of 17 April (note: the Bay of Pigs) and upon the request of AMDIP-1/Tony Varona and AMJAG he had called a meeting of AMBUD/CRC, at which (Varona) had requested in an insolent manner and a loud voice that I be replaced in the work I have been doing. The reason given by (Varona) and upheld completely by AMJAG was that I had not told (CRC) the day, hour, and place of landing of the Army of Liberation, and therefore (CRC) should withdraw its confidence in me..."

2/28/62 memo: "...the Montecristi group, which leads the controlling bloc, is the subject of a WAVE investigation which thus far reveals that the Montecristi movement is penetrated, if not controlled, by the Anarco-Sindicalistas, an international organization which is in turn penetrated by various Castro front organizations. (Although the anarco-sindicalistas overtly and publicly profess to be anti-Castro.)"
