Return to Main Crypts Page

Definition:
Newsletter in Mexico that received funds from CIA.
Status:
Probable
Discussion:
In an October 1961 memo from Mexico City to Director, AMHOBO-1 complained to Michael Choaden/David Phillips that all telephone numbers had been cut off. In addition, in a January 1962 dispatch the topic of Passavoy (probably Col. Wendell C. Johnson) Memo 161 was being exploited on the AMPACA and AMHOBO organs.

A November 1962 cable noted that the current AMHOBO newsletter featured an article about the missiles in Cuba, and it appeared it was trying to keep the controversy alive.
