7/1/70 memo for Office of General Counsel: "Alles, a Cuban writer and radio commentator, is a long-time CA/PROP asset. His salary under the AMHIM project was covertly funded through AMHIM-1 but, according to the Miami station, Alles was fully aware of Agency sponsorship of the project...(he) allegedly advised Miss (Juanita) Castro (AMSTRUT-2) to provide financial backing for the Alpha-66 activities."

7/21/70 CIA memo: "Augustin Alles was employed under the AMHIM Project at a salary of $500/month, and also worked part-time at $200/month for Juana Castro's radio programs, until the AMHIM Project was terminated on 30 May 1970. At that time, he began working full-time as editor of Juana Castro's radio programs over WNYW at a salary of $300 per month. He continues to receive a pay check from the Agency which is presently being funded through a notional cover firm out of New Jersey. Mr. Alles is witting of Agency sponsorship of AMHIM and is witting of Juana Castro's involvement with the Agency."
