Cryptonym: AMCURVE-1
In a report in September, 1964, AMMUG-1 (Vladimir Lahera Rodriguez) identified Paez as being the Chief of Personnel for the DGI. A memo in June of 1964 stated that AMMUG-1 did not recognize the name of Jose Antonio Rabaza Vasquez, although it mentioned that Rabaza was "formerly (in) Rome."
Furthermore, the memo in 1969, mentioned above, seemed to imply that Rabaza was in Cuba, as it commented that "we doubt that he will be out for quite some time, if ever." It may also have been a reference to prison or some kind of detention.
