104-10177-10000: OPERATIONAL SECURITY THREATS POSED BY ARREST OF AMCONCERT-1
11/8/61 memorandum to C/WH/4/FI-CI: AMCONCERT-1's code name was Poco. He was a Cuban national, a printer by trade, and a member of Carlos Prio's Autentico movement. He made plans with Jorge Nobregas (aka Coco) to leave Cuba by boat from Varadero Beach, only to find that Nobregas and companions had already left with no intention to bring him with them. AMCONCERT-1 turned to "Cuco" to assist him in escaping, only to be captured during his attempt to leave the beach in early October. He was held by G-2 at their headquarters in Matanzas.

104-10183-10073: BIOGRAPHICAL DATA SHEET, AMCONCERT-1
This 6/17/62 document is an English translation of biographical data reported by Francisco Wilfredo Varona, AKA "Pancho," AKA "Paco," on Carlos Tepedino Gonzalez who, along with Tepedino's wife, Amada, had been old friends for 25 years of Pancho's wife's (Norma Ugarriza) family. The marginalia at the top of this doc establishes that this report was from AMCONCERT-1. One word in the note at the bottom is incorrect; the note should read that Tepedino's father "is known to Sloman" (not "as Sloman") (Sloman => Tony Sforza).
7/17/62 memo by "Paco", crossed out and replaced with "AMCONCERT-1": "Eloy (Gutierrez Menoyo) informed me that he had raised some money and had tried to buy a boat which had been proposed to him by Mr. Jorge Nobregas, together with different light weapons. However...he was very displeased because he had verified that 'Coco' Nobregas was a businessman and not a man who was fighting for Cuba's freedom...A note that may be from Tony Sforza asks "any suggestions?"..."Antonio Bustillo Perez was with the Revolutionary Police of Castro as a personal friend of Efiginio Ameijeiras until "1960 when he was removed from his position for being an anti-Communist...the regime discovered a plan where he was organizing to assassinate the Communist labor leaders Lazaro Pena and Carlos Rafael Rodriguez. As a result of this he was persecuted and he sought asylum in the Brazilian Embassy in Havana." A note at the bottom informs "Dave" (probably Dave Morales) about Jose Ruiz Galera, an attorney who defended BRAC lieutenant Antonio Castana who was sentenced to death, and was now in Miami, and asks, "Dave: Any interest? Tony." (probably Tony Sforza) The response looks like "told Chief subject Chief thought FRD asset."
12/6/63 cable WAVE 8562 from WAVE to Director: AMCONCERT-1 learned from Carlos Prio's secretary Orlando Puente Perez the following: "Prio's declarations wherein he accused (the US government) of agreement with (the USSR) to replace (Fidel Castro) with Tito-type government originated with (Guillermo Alonso Pujol) in (Washington, DC) and was received by Prio through Guillermo Belt...Guillermo Marquez, publisher of New York weekly Ahora...and Carlos Marquez Sterling are both part of Prio's plan and have become associated (with) Richard Nixon in accordance with Republican Party plan (to) bring up (Cuban) case before elections...Prio has sent various men to join MRR. He has verified (CIA backing Manuel Artime) who nothing more than screen in whole process. Prio claims (Artime) accepted because he very ambitious and also has backing of (the) Jesuits...To complement the whole plan, Jesuits bringing forth Jose Ignacio Rivero, publisher of Diario de la Marina...which (is the) official voice of Jesuits in (Cuba). Prio said (Manuel Ray was) neutralized by giving him limited backing and other action groups not permitted to operate so they cannot gain prestige. This attitude of (the US government) created disgust among persecuted groups who feel hurt when they see backing given (to Artime)."
