1941-1974: Jose Enrique Camejo Argudin - "Member, Commission on High-Level Political Studies. A communist sympathizer since his youth. On 10 March 1952, he was holding the position of Ambassador and was demoted to that of Minister Plenipotentiary. At first he was opposed to the Batista regime, but in 1957 he became adapted to it. In 1957 he was reappointed as Ambassador. Member of the Cuban Foreign Service since 30 June 1941. Appointed on several occasions as Permanent Delegate to the European Office, United Nations...He was a close friend of AMEER-1/Aureliano Sanchez Arango, Chief of the 'Triple A' organization."

11/19/62 File 201-009239 (14 volumes)...Memorandum for the Record from LAD/JFK Task Force: Subject: PLSLSTEEL-1 (formerly AMANVIL-1, AMCLOCK-1 and INDEVOUT-3) Project and 201 Files: "SLSTEEL-1 reported the following on the probable reaction of Fidel Castro and his principal associates to the Soviet withdrawal of offensive missiles from Cuba and to US demands re the withdrawal of Soviet IL-28 aircraft and on-site inspection:...Source said that Castro was dominated by vanity, had megalomaniacal tendencies, and possessed a compulsion for revenge which was notorious; on occasion his compulsion had caused him to reach back as far as twenty years to revenge actions taken against him at that time. Source added that in the current situation Castro was fully capable of undertaking an act of desperation, for example the aerial bombardment of the US or some gross act against the Soviet Ambassador of Cuba."

Reports description of Subject - very sensitive high-level, on-island reporting source. VOL. 13. Memo to EE/SA/Switzerland. WH/SA-64-590. July 64: '...AMWHIP-1 (TEPEDINO) further stated that he himself was not particularly friendly with INDEVOUT-3, probably because he is known to I-3 as business partner of AMWHIP-2's...' (Handwritten: N.B. - arrow pointing to above section). There is no info in Subject's file re assassination nor any mention of operations directed against Castro or GOC (Government of Cuba). Attached are documents re Kennedy or reporting on events/ideas which may pertain to this search." - - - AMWHIP-2 was Juan Ventura Valner.

Transmitted herewith are one copy for each addressee of the contact reports prepared by Peter J. Di Gerveno (Emilio Americo Rodriguez) concerning his first two meetings with AMCLOCK/1. Report #1, New York Memorandum (NYM)-2233, deals with a meeting held 26 September 1967; Report #2, NYM-2234, deals with a meeting held 27 September. 2. IDENTITY Sheets for each of the two reports follow under separate cover enclosure to this dispatch. 3. Contact reports of later meetings will follow by dispatch. Howard G. 09/03/69: Memo from Howard G. Figalan to Chief of Base: Subject: ISOLOG/Operational Western Hemisphere Targets, Group II: Cuba Monthly Activities Report, August 1969: "1. AMBEDEW-1 (probably Orlando Castro Hidalgo) arrived in the area for resettlement on 1 August 1969. Although WODISH is handling the administrative aspects of the resettlement, the writer is staying in periodic contact with AMBEDEW-1 and AMBEDEW-3 for future operational purposes (e.g., debriefing AMBEDEW-1 on new CMUN arrivals, etc). Results of the East batch of photographs forwarded by UNDA-4574, 26 June, were received via DIRECTOR 25971 in early August. 2. On 20 August the UN Secretary General was briefed by the U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN on the illicit activities of Lazaro Espinosa Bonet (201-818439), CMUN Third Secretary and DGI officer, and Alberto Boza Hidalgo-Gato (201-331832), First Secretary and Deputy Chief of the DGI Center. The following morning, 21 August, the CMUN was advised by diplomatic note that Espinosa should expeditiously depart the U.S. and that Boza (then in Cuba on leave) would not be allowed a reentry visa... 3. In mid-August LNERGO (FBI) advised the writer that AMCLOCK-1 would be visiting the U.S. This was the first indication to RVROCK (CIA) of his possible travel here this year. 4. On 30 August AMDELAY-1 arrived in the area for resettlement. 5. In late August the Base with local LNERGO monitored, for WH/MIAMI the AMGAIT-1 matter involving Pedro Luis Pinero Airin. We were all in agreed opinion that Pinero would not show up for the 25 August meeting as it had been laid on prior to the events cited in paragraph 2 above; we were correct as Pinero did not appear..."

10/13/69: Dispatch from COB, New York to Chief, WH/COG: Subject: TYPIC/DOMOPS/AMROSE Debriefing of AMCLOCK/1 on Cuban UN Mission and Delegation Personalities: "1. Attached herewith for C/WH/COG and COS/WH/MIAMI are two copies each of two memoranda concerning results of a 6 October 1969 debriefing of AMCLOCK/1 by Howard G. Figalan on Cuban UN Mission and UNGA Delegation personalities. 2. A copy of each of the two memoranda has bene passed by Figalan to the local LNERGO (FBI) Cuban Squad, per our existing informal agreement. ELGIN is the code name for AMCLOCK/1 as used between the Base and LNERGO here. 3. Results of the 6 October meeting concerning Marta Jimenez Martinez (201-784065) of the Cuban Delegation have been forwarded to above addressees by separate dispatch. 4. The writer anticipates that further and more detailed debriefing information on personalities of local interest to this Base and LNERGO will be forthcoming in future sessions with AMCLOCK/1. 5. 10/23/69: Dispatch from Acting COB, New York to Chief, WH COG (Info: COS, WH MIAMI; Chief, DO): Subject: TYPIC/DOMOPS/AMROSE - Debriefing of AMCLOCK/1 on Cuban UN Mission and Delegation Personalities: "1. Attached herewith for C/WH/COG and COS/WH/MIAMI are two copies each of three memoranda concerning results of an 11 October 1969 debriefing of AMCLOCK/1 by Howard G. Figalan on CMUN and Delegation personalities. The meeting with AMCLOCK/1 was necessarily brief, and thus the results are not as extensive as those forwarded by the two referenced dispatches (from a 6 October meeting with AMCLOCK/1). 2. A copy of each of the memoranda has been passed by Figalan to the local LNERGO (FBI) Cuban Squad, per our existing informal arrangement. 'ELGIN' is the code name for AMCLOCK/1 as used between the Base and LNERGO here. 3. Items should be extracted for the appropriate 201 files. Howard G. Figalan."
