During Aug. 1961, John Burkman at Richmond Arms Company in Blissfield, MI was asked to provide 10,000 M-1 rifles for an anti-Castro revolution. Burkman met in Aug 1961 with Jose Cardoso, arms coordinator for the DRE, Evilio Duque, DRE head, and others. In Sept 61 Burkman met with Cardoso, Duque, and Orlando Bosch. Sometime later in 61 Martin Morua, national coordinator of the DRE, obtained 3000 blasting caps and two telegraph sending and receiving sets from Burkman, which were allegedly given to Evilio Duque. "(FBI Special Agent Walter Rogers) was also advised of the possible negotiation (by Homer Echevarria's group) for the sale of explosives, and he indicated that to the best of his memory one Martin Morua, a member of the Directorio Estudiante Revolucionario, had come North from Miami (in late 1962 or so) and had been in Chicago. Morua had expressed an interest in buying detonators and had been 'up in Michigan' trying to buy detonators..." On 10/24/62, 1000 blasting caps of C-4 were sold to Marti Salazar and Morua. During Oct 63, FNU Sierra, FNU Hernandez, and Jose Cardoso told Berkman they needed to purchase a large quantity of rifles and other arms, unknown if deal completed. "Mannie" in the report appeared to be Paulino Sierra. See 11/29/63-12/10/63, Secret Service memo by Edward Z. Tucker and Joseph Noonan re Homer S. Echevarria:
