Mary Ferrell Foundation Digital Archive Passes 1,000,000 Pages

Ipswich, MA - August 7, 2008 - The Mary Ferrell Foundation (MFF), the largest searchable electronic archive of primary resource material on the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., has surpassed the 1,000,000 page mark.

The MFF's archive contains the Warren Report and its 26 volumes of accompanying evidence, along with the Report and 12 appendix volumes of the House Select Committee on Assassinations. It further houses hundreds of thousands of pages of records from the CIA and FBI, as well as the Department of Defense, New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, and nearly 100,000 pages of files on the murders of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy.

Not limited to the investigations of the political assassinations of the 1960s, the MFF's archive also contains records of intelligence agency abuses - investigated most prominently by the Church Committee in the 1970s - including illegal domestic surveillance and foreign assassination plots. Also in the archive are recently-declassified records of Kennedy-era foreign policy, including new revelations on the covert war against Fidel Castro's Cuba and plans for the withdrawal of American forces from Vietnam beginning in 1963.

The complete MFF Archive is available for browsing and searching at http://www.maryferrell.org/wiki/index.php/Documents. For more information on the Archive, please visit the Document Archive FAQ at http://www.maryferrell.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ_-_Document_Archive.
