Essay - Whispers from the Silent Generation |
It is remarkable how many prominent political leaders from the 1960s expressed doubt or disbelief in the Warren Commission's lone-gunman solution to the assassination of President Kennedy. Sometimes the comments were "off the cuff", but many were given to journalists or authors for the record.
Still, their comments remain largely unknown to the general public. The Kennedy generation of leaders is passing on from this world one by one, leaving only "whispers from the silent generation."
