HSCA Medical Report: statement is flatly untrue
by rexbradford on Thu, Nov 3, 2005, 11:44 AM GMT (#1100)
Comment on document page: HSCA Report, Volume VII, Pg 37
The statement in Volume VII that "All of those interviewed who attended the autopsy corroborated the general location of the wounds as depicted in the photographs; none had differing accounts" is flatly untrue. HSCA staffers Andy Purdy and Mark Flanagan took statements from mortician Tom Robinson, FBI agents James Sibert and Francis O'Neill, General Wehle's aide Richard Lipsey, Secret Service agent Roy Kellerman, and others who described the head wound in particular as different from that depicted in this report. Several of them made drawings. Apparently the 9-member Forensic Pathology Panel never saw any of these witness interview reports. For more information, see the essay How Five Investigations Into JFK's Medical\Autopsy Evidence Got it Wrong(1), or see the ARRB Medical Exhibits, particularly 56(2), 63(3), 85(4), 86(5), and 87(6).

Comment on document: The Fourteen Minute Gap
Author's note: Corroboration of the erasure was obtained by the LBJ Library subsequent to the writing of this essay - see The Fourteen Minute Gap: An Update(1), which features a copy of an audio engineering report commissioned by the Library. Also, Max Holland's book The Kennedy Assassination Tapes(2), in a footnote on p.69, makes note of the erasure without further comment.
